We are excited to announce The Esco Summer Bash celebration in one of the most stunning biodiversity, vast protected spaces and warm weather, Costa Rica.

The Estate at Sirena Serena is a charming, gated property offering stylish accommodations in Playa Tamarindo. Situated in a luxurious tropical garden beneath their palm and banana trees, you are surrounded by nature, but still at a walking distance to everything in town.

TRIP ITINERARY DETAILS

Sept. 28th (Day 1): Tamarindo Moonlight Night Market

The Tamarindo Night Market festival is open every Thursday night between 6pm - 9pm. Live music performances, fire dancers DJ, and dancing! Enjoy food flavors from around the world plus food trucks. Hand crafted souvenirs made in Costa Rica plus so much more!

INCLUSIONS: Accommodation EXCLUSIONS: Airport transfer, airfare and personal expenses DEPARTURE TIME: 6:00 PM DURATION: 2-3 hours

Sept. 29th (Day 2): Blue Dolphin Tamarindo Catamaran Cruise

Enjoy the best Catamaran Tour Tamarindo! An afternoon on the Blue Dolphin 40′ Catamaran with open bar, food, snorkeling, kayaking, with an incredible Pacific Sunset at the end of the cruise. The boat is packed with amenities including trampolines for sunning and lounging, a shaded main salon, fresh water shower, a clean restroom, well-maintained snorkel gear, kayaks and a stairway to the sea.

Sept. 30th (Day 3) Rio Celeste Hiking, Sloth & Waterfall Tour

An adventurous hike in Tenorio Volcano National Park to see one of Costa Rica’s most famous natural wonders – Rio Celeste – known for it’s divine hue of turquoise. You will also visit Finca Verde, an organic farm and animal shelter where you will visit the sloths, frogs and more! Then to the breathtaking Llanos de Cortes Waterfall, well off the beaten path where you can swim under the falls.

INCLUSIONS: 2 Hour Hike in Tenorio Volcano National Park, Visit to Organic Farm with Sloths & Frogs, Visit to Llanos de Cortez Waterfall, View Wildlife and Local Flora, Costa Rica Lunch, Bilingual Naturalist Guide, Stunning view of Turquoise Waters of Rio Celeste, Pick-up and Drop-off. EXCLUSIONS: Personal expenses and gratuities DEPARTURE TIME: 6:30 AM DURATION: 12 hours

Oct. 1st (Day 4): Day of Leisure

We will start our day with a Costa Rican breakfast followed by a Sunday Funday event. One of the best party in town is El Be! located in Tamarindo beach. Feel free to take off and explore the town! As always, we will find a party spot for the last night of celebration.

Oct. 2nd (Day 5): Farewell

Our trip has come to an end. We will check-out of villa at 11:00 AM.

Transportation

The best way to get around Costa Rica is by bus, which is reliable, navigable, inexpensive and frequently runs through San Jose, Costa Rica's capital. Driving on your own is not highly recommended as some roads are tricky (speckled with potholes and ambiguously marked intersections).

Weather

August in Guanacaste the average maximum daytime temperatures are very high and range from 31°C (87°F) in Nuevo Arenal to 33°C (92°F) in Tamarindo. Minimum nighttime temperatures generally drop to 22°C (71°F) in Tamarindo and 21°C (69°F) in Nuevo Arenal. These night and day temperatures are average and some days may be even warmer. So be prepared and dress for the heat.

Electricity

Costa Rica uses 110 volt, 60 cycle electricity, same as the US. Plugs are typically the 2-pronged flat type, so US travelers will not typically need a converter or adapter.

Currency

The Costa Rican Colon (CRC) is the currency of Costa Rica. The symbol for the Colon is ₡; the currency is subdivided into 100 centimos. Many places in Costa Rica accept the US Dollar unofficially.

Exchange and Credit Cards

In Costa Rica, currency exchange is available at banks and airports.

Exchange rate: 1 Costa Rican Colon = 0.0019 USD

Credit and charge cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are widely accepted.

VAT Tax

The standard rate for VAT is 13 percent, with reduced rates of 0, 5 and 10 percent.

Travel Insurance

We recommend travel insurance for all our trips because not only is this a non-refundable trip but also sometimes, unexpected things occur. Trip delays, interruptions, or even cancellations can cause headaches and expenses, but travel insurance can help make sure you are protected for adjustments you need to make to overcome these situations. Some plans contain cancellation benefits and if you have a covered reason you can be reimbursed for pre-paid non-refundable expenses, like a medical emergency or loss of employment before your trip even begins. Therefore, you will be offered to purchase travel insurance after booking and can either select to purchase or reject it in writing.

Travel Restrictions

Entry to Costa Rica is allowed for tourists from all countries.

Each visitor must comply with the migratory processes established in the General Law of Migration and Immigration. Starting April 1, the temporary migration measures established in the framework of the national health emergency due to COVID-19 are repealed.

During your stay in Costa Rica, tourists must follow the health protocols established by private companies in order to participle in any tourist activity.

Documents Needed for Travel

US nationals do not require an entry visa to Costa Rica. However, they must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 90 days. (Either to return to your country or to go to another country). US passport must be valid for a minimum of one day from the day you enter Costa Rica. As a tourist US nationals cannot stay more than 90 days. For a stay longer than 90 days a residence permit must be established.
